Chelsea are showing interest in a third Barcelona player, with midfielder Gavi joining Frenkie de Jong and Sergino Dest on their list of potential targets (Daily Mail, January 20).

Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic. Arsenal and Tottenham are also thought to be monitoring the Croatia international, whose contract expires at the end of the season (Daily Mirror, January 15).

Chelsea are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain left-back Laywin Kurzawa on loan as they look for cover for the injured Ben Chilwell (Sky Sports, January 16).

Chelsea have revived their interest in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde and are also looking at fellow Frenchmen Presnel Kimpembe and Aurelien Tchouameni (The Sun, January 13).

The latest players linked with a Chelsea exit

Southampton have held talks about signing Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin. He’s been on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow (Sky Sports News, January 28); Southampton are interested in a move for Chelsea kid Anjorin and would like to make Armando Broja’s loan permanent – but more likely in the summer than this window (The Sun, January 28).

Cesar Azpilicueta wants to stay at Chelsea but he’s out of contract in the summer and club policy is to only give one-year extensions to older players. The club captain is 32 and could be offered a long-term deal by Barcelona in the summer (Sky Sports News, January 28); Azpilicueta’s demands for a three-year contract are proving to be the stumbling block in his negotiations with Chelsea (Daily Telegraph, January 27); Azpilicueta will not make a definitive decision on his Chelsea future until he meets with the club after the international break (Daily Mail, January 26); Azpilicueta wants to end his career at Stamford Bridge but is yet to be offered terms beyond the end of the season (Daily Mail, January 20).

Christian Pulisic has become the latest player to open up on his struggles at Chelsea after a tough season (Daily Mail, January 27).

Antonio Rudiger says his “family feel great in London” as the defender continues contract talks with Chelsea, with his current deal expiring this summer (Sky Sports, January 21); Chelsea are set to renew their efforts to sign Antonio Rudiger to a new contract after a previous £140,000-per-week offer was rejected (Daily Mail, January 14); Barcelona are monitoring Rudiger’s contract situation, with the Chelsea defender now able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs after entering the final six months of his deal (Sky Sports, January 6); Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all opened talks with Rudiger’s representatives over a pre-contract agreement this month (Sky Sports, January 3).

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports (Daily Mirror, January 10).

Chelsea are not planning to turn their loan deal with Atletico Madrid for midfielder Saul Niguez into a permanent move in the summer (The Sun, January 8); Saul fears he is caught in a trap at Chelsea as his dream loan move turns into a nightmare (The Sun, December 3).

Borussia Dortmund have made Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen their No 1 target (The Sun, January 14); Barcelona are interested in signing Christensen, with the defender yet to commit to a new contract at Chelsea (Daily Mail, January 4); Thomas Tuchel has issued Christensen with an ultimatum to sign the contract that Chelsea have twice thought they had agreed (Daily Telegraph, December 1).

Midfielders Hakim Ziyech, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley could all be sold by Chelsea in January as they look to secure funds to strengthen other areas of their squad (The Sun, January 2).
